well.. okay. i guess i can do that for you. hi, my name’s shiloh rosalie vance, lead singer for isabella goodbye, the greatest band you will ever see live. what did you expect? i do have to do a bit of publicity for my band, right? anyway. so yeah, i’m shiloh. nobody’s ever really found a nickname for me. well, that matches with my name. i mean, there’s always luka, drummer of isabella goodbye, who comes up with random nicknames for me, which i love. but other than that, there isn’t really any. if you can find one, i will welcome it gladly. i have been living on this planet for now eighteen years of a beautiful life and i’m loving it.. almost all the time. but we will get to that part later. right now, all you need to know is that i’m happy to be her and to be doing what i’m doing. uh, yeah, other than that, as for general information. well, my birthday is june twenty-fourth. uh, i’m single and straight, and pretty happy like that and not planning on changing that anytime soon, in case some of you guys out there were wondering. and yup, that’s about it.
good, good. could you tell us about how you dress on stage? why you wear the clothes you wear?
well, all us artists have to thank our stylists for that. they seriously do a wonderful job with all of it. like dressing us up rather definitely but still making us look like a band. it’s really great and i’m really thankful to our stylist, athena, for helping me define my look on and off stage. so that’s basically why i wear them, because they apparently look good on me and.. i mean, what girl really doesn’t like looking good? none. so i guess i’m just normal. um, i’ve always liked dressing girly, really. i’ve always enjoyed wearing dresses and such, a real mama’s girl, seriously. i’ve always enjoyed putting pretty accessories in my hair, on my wrists, around my neck and stuff. so it’s not much of a change, really. i try to wear dresses in which i can still move, however. as you noticed, i like running around on the stage a lot so i personally asked athena not to make me wear heels or dresses in which everyone could see my underwear. because, you know, when you’re on stage and everyone is standing almost underneath you.. yeah, i don’t think i need to explain much more than that. you get it.
oh, trust me, we do. now, could you tell us how it feels to be on tour? do you miss home?
i know this will sound, well.. quite depressive. but that’s how i got here, and it’s really important to me. and well, it’s about time it came out. when my parents figured out they were going to have a kid, it completely tore them apart. they were not ready. in fact, they knew they never would be ready, ever. so when i came along, it ruined all the plans they had made for their future together of being the two greatest lawyers in montreal. my mother definitely was not a woman who was good with kids. she left me to my grandmother, even though i was barely a week old, and she would keep working and working. my father as well. when my grandmother passed away, they only found a nanny to take care of me while they were at work. i went to school like every kid, i had chores like every kid. the only thing was that i did not have a family, at all. i was alone most of the time. sure, i had friends. but they never were allowed to come over because there wasn’t really any adult supervision in my house except from my nanny who only cleaned and made me food whenever i asked for it. however, throughout my whole elementary school, i was known as the rich little girl who did not have parents because her parents apparently disliked her and did not want her. how mean could kids get really? but i soon moved past that and entered high school. for most people, high school hasn’t been the brightest part of their life. but it was totally the opposite for me. i was finally able to make real friends. friends who were there for me no matter what and always found a way to hang out with me. i met this person, (insertfuturenameofkeyboardistforisabellagoodbyehere), with who i had a lot in common. we were both very passionate about music and we loved writing and all those kind of things. (keyboardist’snamehere) played the keyboard and i would sing the songs i wrote and it just.. matched. with our songs, we managed to win this school talent show and it gave us the guts that we needed to actually think about forming a band.
it all started by a small announcement in the town’s newspaper but we soon had answers and it just clicked between us all. i don’t really know how to explain it, but whenever we played together, there was just this chemistry which came alive and would send sparks down my back. it would give me the energy, the will, the fire to keep going and now we’re here. and let me tell you one thing. we know about all the rumours going around the tour bands and staff and media and such. but we really don’t care. we’re artists and we’re hear to let the people know about who we are and what we are. we just want to make them discover our music, which i find really inspiring. we always try to make a certain message come through with our lyrics and i don’t see how this could possibly make us immature, right? i just really want to prove everybody wrong and prove to the world that, even though we don’t have as much experience as the other bands. we’re just as good and we will definitely show them all what we’re made off. watch out. you haven’t seen anything yet.
wow, it’s really great to see such a young woman with such big dreams. what are your plans for the future, shiloh?
i definitely plan on recording as many records as possible the band. i love those people. they’re my life, they’re my family and i would give up on them for nothing in the whole wild world. as long as the people out there, our fans, will keep wanting to hear from us, we promise to keep giving them what they want and that’s most likely our love. i know this sounds cliché but we would definitely be absolutely nothing without them. so i thank them, every single time i can. they’re all wonderful.
well, thank you very much for offering us your time, shiloh.
my pleasure.[/ul]
