WHO ARE YOU?
"My true full name is Karla Cheyenne Knight. I am from Nashville Tennesse and I use Valentine as my stage name, why? Because I perosnally think it's cooler than my actual last name. My birthday is April 14, 1989 and my parents are Bradley and Ariana Knight. I am twenty one, which means I'm basically legal to do...well everything. There are still some people who call me KK, my initials and it's okay, it is my nickname after all. I do not do drugs, oh hell no, I drink, but only socially. "
WHAT ARE SOME THINGS YOU LIKE AND DON'T LIKE?
"I'm obsessed with men, Bones, rock and roll, Paramore, hair products, hair dye, my family, friends, parties, club hopping, music, the band, shoes, and make up. I really have a dislike for drug usage, drunkeness, tomatoes, briskett, cats, parrots, orange, emergency rooms, Jerry Springer, talk shows, taffeta, road rage, knock knock jokes, yarn, and brussel sprouts. "
HOW DID YOU GET INTO MUSIC?
"I think in some ways I've always loved music and I really wanted to pursue it from a young age. The first song I ever heard was "Don't Back Down" by Tom Petty. My dad's fault. "
WHEN DID STAR CRUSH START OUT?
"Star Crush was formed 2 and a half years ago. We started out with myself, our drummer, and our lead guitarist. Then our basist and rhythm guitarist joined."
TELL US ABOUT YOUR FAMILY.
"Let's see. Well there are my parents Bradley and Ariana. Then my oldest sister Lucy Elizabeth Knight; she's kind of the good child if you will, after her it's my older brother Jason Andrew Knight; he's the prankster, after him I was born; I'm known as the goofy one, then after me it's my twin bothers Blake Aaron Knight and Andrew Bradley Knight; they're the touble makers, and lastly my sister Jessica Arianna Knight; she's the youngest and of course the princess. We're kinda like The Brady Bunch only more insane and much elss innocent. "
HOW DID YOU KNOW YOU COULD SING/AND WHEN DID YOU START?
"We didn't know I could sing, much less sing well until I was about eight. It was elementary school and we were putting on a poduction of Annie and I had to wear a red wig. My teacher didn't have me sing "Tomorrow" until rehearsal started, that's when we knew. I remember the whole room getting quiet and I was getting some pretty weird stares. No one knew a little girl coudl really belt that song out. My teacher contacted my parents and she suggested a talent agent. I got a few minor gigs and two talk shows, I sang. Through the rest of elementary schoo land even throughout middle school I was so scared to talk about my voice because I would get beat up and teased about what I was doing. The kids and parents were terrible that I didn't even want to go to school on some days. It wasn't until high school that my choir teacher saw it. Mr. Peterson. I still remember the private help and all that preparing. That's also when Star Crush was formed. We played gigs around town for a while until our current manager signed on with us. We added our bassist and rhythm guitarist later on."
FINALLY, CAN YOU ELABORATE ON THE RUMORS GOING AOUND THAT YOU'RE DATING SOMEONE IN THE BAND?
"I'm not dating anyone at the moment. I'm single."
