i must confess , i’m in love with my own sins ! - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -There was only so much you could do with your day. Go out, go to work maybe. Do some shopping? But soon enough the day would be over and time would be ..pretty much wasted. Nik was never the philosopher, and would usually spout rubbish like this on a daily basis. He felt rather sorry for his friends at times, because half of the time he did make no sense. But that was the beauty of life, it didn’t have to make sense..half of the time.
Nik was an odd one, not that he cared. He had close friends that could tolerate him, plus his band, so that was good enough for him. He couldn’t believe how well they did so far, considering everything. But he knew they were good, so that was proof enough. The real question today was what he was going to do with his free time, since that was what he had..free time No practise or shows till later. It gave him free reign, not that he knew what to do with ‘free’ time. Only because he wasn’t used to it and hadn’t been for about five years.
Nether less, Nik had stepped outside, spending some time on his attire, though less theatrical than what he would wear on stage, per say. His style wasn’t ‘normal’ but heck, he had never conformed to that stereotype since the day he was born. Going around in all black on a day this warm wasn’t all that practical, but it was him. So that was not going to change. A sly smirk was held on his lips as he wandered the streets, clearly not paying any attention.
His cell was out on view as he idly texted, whilst bustling past the busy high streets. It was afternoon time, so it was packed, not to mention it was a Saturday. Pretty much shoving past others, he was far too intrigued in checking his phone. Though a slight frown was now on his lips, as he wasn’t as popular as he had hoped. He hated waiting for texts or not getting any in general. He was rather bored today, hence why this random venture into the heart of the city. He had to deal with alot of ‘watch it’s from various people, before he stopped a destination. Not normally a coffee fan, Nik went in the Starbucks anyway, wanting a quick break. Before he decided where else to aimlessly wander.
Ordering himself a coffee, he took the booth nearest the back, idly playing with his phone in the meantime. He did his best not to spill as he sat down, leaning against the chair, noticing how much he stood out amongst the other three people in the coffee shop. It was a little on the quiet side, but he didn’t mind. He continued to mess around with his phone, not really paying to what was going on around him.

I’ll taste like summer, on a stormy winter night, and you'll TASTE LIKE FIRE, BURNIN' EVERYTHING IN SIGHT.Samantha wasn't a morning person, nor had she ever been. So of course she was beyond pissed off when she had fallen asleep in her own bed, only to wake up a few hours later. She couldn't sleep, and she knew no matter how hard she tried she wouldn't be able to relax completely to do so. Samantha had to be tired to fall asleep, and hardly ever was she really tired, it was why the girl stayed so busy anymore, she always had to be doing something, to have something on a to-do-list of some sort. She needed things to do, she wasn't the type to sit at home all day and watch tv, the same episodes running over and over again. That kind of lifestyle made her skin crawl, and she would never approve of any such activity if she could help it. But it wasn't like there was much choice with the current job she was working. It was either having a camera in her hands and working on that or it was sleeping, or partying or anything else really. Samma wasn't a partier though, she didn't drink much... because she knew if she did she'd regret it.
Her mother had ruined her life with her job, and Samma was determined to make everyone believe that she was certainly not like her. After so many movies, her mother was a well known porn star, and Samantha never heard the end of it if someone found it out. Not to mention the fact that so many people had actually been there. No, she didn't want to hear tell of someone she knew sleeping with her mother, it was why she was the photographer, she wanted to get as far away from her mother's lifestyle as she could, and so far, she was doing an excellent job. She didn't party, she didn't get out of control and she led a pretty decent life here on tour, it was what she had wanted ever since the drama had started back home. Samma sighed as she threw the covers off herself and got out of bed, looking through her drawers for something to wear, she needed something to stir her into action, if she couldn't sleep, she didn't want to be tired. Therefore, it only meant she needed one thing, and that was coffee. And thinking about it now, there was only one brand that could satisfy that craving. She wanted starbucks.
It didn't take Sam long before she was ready, it never really did. Yawning softly she made her way down the street to the strip, the sidewalks everywhere to walk to your hearts content. Samantha liked that. She was definitely one to walk around when she was upset, she just needed to think sometimes and it helped her a lot. Sighing softly she eyed the little building and licked her lips, maybe she had wanted this all along and her not getting any sleep was all a part of her body's ulterior motive. She grinned at the thought and shook her head softly as she walked inside, the little bell on the door above her head ringing to announce her entry. She bit her lip and looked around, a quick glance at everything around her, not paying much attention to the people sitting in the booths. Walking up to the table she grinned at the person working and got her frappecino quickly, mocha, her favorite. Samantha payed the guy and turned around, half-looking for a place to sit, only to find all the tables filled. She grumbled softly until she found a familiar face already sitting at one of them. She bit her lip, trying to decide if she should or not. Shrugging softly she supposed she could.. even though she didn't know him all that well, they had talked a few times before, so why not, right? Walking over there almost fearlessly (or so she seemed) she sat down across from him, sipping her coffee. Hi, I'm going to sit here since all the tables are already taken and I kinda know you. so. don't be freaked out. she said softly, her shoulders shrugging for emphasis on her point.

i must confess , i’m in love with my own sins ! - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -Nik was surprisingly more alert today. And not all that hungover, which had now became common for him. he didn't go out the previous night, though perhaps the night before. He had to admit his partying had been become more frequent, because of the stress he had been under lately. To be exact to where it had come from..he wasn't entirely sure. Maybe it was a mixture of work, feelings for one of his best friends and the news he had received from a friend back home. He shouldn't of been so bothered, after all his mother hadn't given him any attention and pretty much abandoned him as a kid. So the news that she was ill..surprisingly worried him. She may have not been there for him much through the years, but she was the only family he had, despite having spoken to her in the last three years. He was stressing yes, hence the partying. He thought it cured everything. But it only made it all worse.
AS he never got a chance to think. Only distract himself, which perhaps was not healthy. At least he was keeping himself to legal substances, despite the inside pressure to just cave...But he couldn't go back, not top the way he was. He was a wreck..and he thought he had gotten past all that. And he was going to stay away from it..until he couldn't take it no longer.
Of which he hoped he wouldn't. He was staying strong, somewhat. and he was glad to end up at a starbucks rather than anywhere else. Like a bar, even at this time of day. It wasn't uncommon for him to stoop that low. Even when he was on his own. Nik stifled a yawn as his hands wrapped themselves around the cup, after laying his cell on the table, disappointed with the lack of texts he was receiving. He felt 'unloved' somewhat , after all he couldn't find his bandmates. they must have all went out, or something a=of the like.
He knew that they did not have rehearsal till later on. So he was cool for now. Not that he turned up on time anyway. If he did, it was a rare occurrence. His bandmates may have been annoyed from time to time about his tardiness, but Nik couldn't careless to be perfectly honest. As he was never the punctual person, even at school. It made him laugh, how bad he was now, even now. And made him wonder how his bandmates put up with him.
Because he seriously was a pain sometimes. Taking a small sip of his coffee, his hand reached for his phone again, as it went off finally. Just another text from the girl from two nights ago. He honestly didn't know why he gave them his number, he never did call them back. sometimes he wondered if he gave them his number, as he couldn't remember. At all. He was terrible, and a bit of a pig. But that didn't mean he could stop.
He realized that was how he was going to operate after realizing that relationships just weren't for him. his last one barely lasted all that long. It was more of an experiment than anything else, as he was so close to his best friend. He was just lucky that everything ended well and they were still close. Maybe not as much as before, but enough.
Nik was too busy staring at his phone to notice another person had joined him. a light smile appeared on his lips as the girl walked on over and sat opposite him. she was not a stranger, he recognised her from the band crew. She was the photographer, or at least, he thought she was. He honestly could not be sure, after only talking to her on a few occasions. He nodded, slipping his phone back in his pocket, after not wanting to come across as rude.
"Too late, I'm already having a panic attack" he teased sarcastically at her comment, taking a small sip of his coffee. "Anyways, what brings you to be trawling the city this early? Other than the obvious" he nodded towards her coffee cup. "Samantha, right?" he shamelessly had to ask, as he was not good with names, not at all.

I’ll taste like summer, on a stormy winter night, and you'll TASTE LIKE FIRE, BURNIN' EVERYTHING IN SIGHT.Samantha wasn't exactly shy, no. But she wasn't one to start up a random conversation with a stranger. Most of the times she kept to herself and if someone happened to speak to her, well of course she would answer. She wasn't rude, she was just skeptical. Samantha had learned to not really trust people as easily as others. She didn't like sharing her feelings and she didn't like getting personal, it scared her really. And that was why the girl didn't have many close friends. In fact, she was rather alone in the world when it came to being out in the world all by herself. It was a hell of a lot better than being back home though. She refused to live with her mother and the ... people she brought over. She was no longer associating herself with her mother or her name. She would never be 'that porn stars daughter' again. Never, she refused.
And if things were going to go according to plans, she would be getting her last name changed to wipe away all traces of her mother, despite the similar facial features and structure of her mother. She almost sighed right then and there, there was no way she would be able to get rid of all the traces of her mother, not without making her face completely different. And no, Samantha was not that extreme, she would never do anything to her face, and no, she wasn't being vain. She simple didn't want to do anything about it, because truth be told, she had grown accustomed to her face and after her teenage years of hating herself and how she looked, she had grown to quite like her appearance, regardless of if it symbolized her mother or not. She couldn't help that, and she would forever blame genetics. It was really the only thing she could do.
There was no telling how many times Samantha heard the phrase, "oh, you look really familiar. Do I know you from somewhere?" It was always so obvious to know what they had been doing in their spare time. The only thing her mother had ever been known for was the porn she was in. Samantha couldn't stand it. She sighed softly and looked up at Nik, who happened to be speaking to her. Shaking all thoughts of her mother and her appearance and her.. past altogether she focused her attention on him, and what he had to say. Her eyes taking him in fully since they had not gotten the chance to do so yet. A subtle smile appeared on her lips as she did. He was different, that was for sure. But that wasn't to say it was a bad different. He was attractive, breathtakingly so, and he had an air about him that told her there was more to him then what met the eye. She blinked softly and smiled as he told her he was already having a panic attack, receiving a small shrug from Samantha. Oops, my bad then. she said, grinning.
She laughed at his statement and shook her head, sighing as she spoke, I couldn't sleep... and I knew I wouldn't be able to make myself sleep, so I figured grabbing coffee was better than wishing i was asleep. she said, wondering if that made any sense at all to him, in which it probably didn't. She never made sense in the morning, especially when she was this tired. Oh well. Samantha was a bit surprised to hear her name come from his lips, she hadn't realized that he knew her so well, or maybe it was just a lucky guess, she didn't know. She nodded timidly and brought her coffee to her lips before setting it down, glad for the small distraction. Yeah, my name's samantha. She said, biting down on her lip. It would be useless to make him aware of the fact that she knew his name too. He was famous for heaven's sake, if she didn't know his name it'd be ludicrous. Samma cleared her throat, suddenly at a loss of what to say, maybe it was about time to be getting back, it had been silly of her to come sit with him in the first place. What did she think he was going to do? Open up and share his life story?

i must confess , i’m in love with my own sins ! - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -Nik wasn't all that tired despite hardly having any sleep. He hadn't been able to sleep properly in a while, since the breakup and now the recent news. He did not think it was that much of a big deal, hence why he kept it to himself. His friends had their own problems after all. And this way, it suited everyone, including himself. He waved back a stray strand of his own hair as he looked out the window idly, noticing how quiet it was. Mainly because it was so early. Which made alot of sense in all actuality. His blue eyes made contact with the young woman in front of him, recognising her as the photographer.
A pleasant conversation wouldn't go amiss. As he welcomed that wholeheartedly. Because he didn't like thinking about his own problems all day long. He would rather much lose himself in some random conversation than that. It was a great distraction, par from drinking himself to the ground. Which would happen much later, he mentally noted. it was rare that he didn't have a night where he did not party. It was troubling, but he didn't think his friends noticed. he watched the girl's expression, not sure what to make of her as of yet. She seemed pleasant in passing.
If a bit stand-offish. Which he didn't think was a problem, each to their own, he had always said. Besides, he hardly knew her. And he couldn't just make a snap judgement. Because that often got him in trouble, as he was wrong ninety percent of the time. A light smirk was held on his lips at her reply, at least she had a sense of humour. Which as always great. He had hated misery guts, because he was a joker. He couldn't be serious, heck he wondered how he even got this job. Music was the thing that kept him sane.
And focused, too. It was the only thing he took seriously. It may have sounded terrible, but that was just how he was. And he could not change, no matter how much he had wanted to. His hands went to fiddle with his hair, fixing it as she spoke. He was a fidget, that was easy to see. Keeping still was a challenge, and he hoped she did not pick up on that. His hands soon went to his coffee cup again, taking a small sip before he returned it back onto the table. "Makes sense. Heck I couldn't sleep neither" he replied, hands resting on the coffee cup again, eyes flitting to look outside, watching the day go by.
It was so quiet. Though it was nice, in a sense. Because overly crowded times were off putting. Not always, but sometimes. Especially when he was as stressed as he was. Though at the same time, he could not bear to be alone. Hence why he had escaped the silent bus. In the hopes that he could at least find one person to talk to. Or anyone to be around. As he did not want to be alone with his thoughts right now. His attention soon turned back to the girl, with a slight nod. He was just glad that he had recalled her name correctly, as he was so bad it, normally.
"Ha I knew I was right. It's a pretty name" he smiled, genuinely, taking another sip of his coffee, actually having to take a few seconds before speaking. As he didn't know what exactly to say. it was a rare occurrence when he was speechless. Though it was more that he was stressed, so much that his brain struggled to comprehend recently.
"But maybe not being able to sleep is a good thing. because you get to talk to me. Which, if I do say myself, is a rather good thing" he chuckled, half joking, he wasn't all that arrogant, most times anyway. His hand went to wipe away another strand of his black hair out of his eyes, looking at her, with a small smile. He was rather pleased that he wasn’t alone, but..in the company of a pretty girl.

I’ll taste like summer, on a stormy winter night, and you'll TASTE LIKE FIRE, BURNIN' EVERYTHING IN SIGHT.Normally, Samantha was a very talkative person, no.. she wasn't overly friendly, she just liked to talk to people and relate to them, mostly. But for the life of her, she couldn't seem to find the words to say to Nikolas. She had spoken to him before, obviously, he was a pretty decent guy, other than the fact that he couldn't keep his hands to himself, nor his words. All he was looking for was sex, and using girls. Or... at least that was the way she saw it. and she had been told before that she had a pretty face, not to say that she was vain, but sometimes, you didn't have to be to know what was coming. Samma wouldn't be surprised if he offered here and now, depending on how their conversation went. But he knew good and well not to try any of that with her, she had too big of a mouth to let him get away with it. Not to mention the fact that she had been very, very avid last time they had spoken about not ever wanting to cross that line. She wouldn't either, she refused. Not saying that he wasn't attractive.. because god knows she knew that wasn't true. And it wasn't even to say that she wouldn't within time. It was only the fact that she knew she would be just another notch on his bedpost.
Samantha had too much self dignity for that. She wouldn't allow it. She was sure she couldn't count the number of girls on two hands that he had played around with and broke their hearts. It was hard not to get attached to someone you slept with, at least it was that way for Samantha. She wouldn't let him do that to her. Her thoughts were jumping way ahead of them though, she knew, she just always had to keep her guard up, there was no telling how good he could charm her, because she had been down that road before, and had let him kiss her. No, she didn't regret it necessarily, more so that she didn't want that night to repeat itself. She would have to be more careful around him. She nodded her head in response to him, giving him a simple smile that suggested nothing other than the fact that she was paying attention to him, "yeah, so that's why I'm here." she said with a quick shrug of her dainty shoulders.
The coffee shop was quiet, if it would have been any other person or any other setting Samantha would think it was awkward, but for some reason she didn't get that vibe with Nikolas. It was just.. peaceful, and she was content just sitting there playing with her straw and every once in a while taking a sip of the cold coffee that she had spent her money on. She laughed at his excitement over having her name correctly, she guessed it was because he had learned so many, he had to forget them at times, right? It made sense to her, and so she went with it. "Thanks." she said simply, she had never been used to compliments, she just never knew how to reply to them. But it didn't take long for his ego to show, she shrugged softly and smirked a bit, "yeah I guess, but.. why do you say that, hm?" she murmured, actually being curious.
Everything she did wasn't always out of spite, don't get her wrong. It was just entertaining for her to ask people these questions. Just to see what they would say. "What's so good about talking to you? Because you're famous?" she said, wondering if his fame had gotten to his head. It wouldn't surprise her, you heard it all the time on the news, so why wouldn't it happen on a tour? It made perfect sense.

i must confess , i’m in love with my own sins ! - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -This girl really did intrigue Nik. She wasn’t like the other girls he usually encountered. Yes, he was bad enough to target the easy girls, the ones that usually wanted to sleep with him. Only because they wanted to date a ‘rock star’. And because he was so addicted to sex he honestly care less. It as the way things had been for so long, so why did he feel like he wanted more?
Not just to get her into bed, btu to actually get to know her? Spending small amongst of time with her lately had been actually the most fun he had with a girl that didn’t involve sex. It wasn’t like him, yet, he didn’t care. Because it was actually pretty good, to just talk to someone. He hadn’t been able to talk to Jaxon properly for a while, he wasn’t sure why..Things hadn’t been right since they broke up, even if it were a while ago now. Nether less, he had enjoyed being in the girl’s company.
It was natural, and he didn’t feel like he had to hide anything, which was a relief, as that was that he felt he had been doing for so long now, especially with his bandmates. He didn’t mind her fierce personality, in fact, it was endearing. It made him want to know more, to try harder. Just to get to know her, because he really liked her, whether he wanted to believe this or not. She was unlike so many of the other girls and actually had some sort of backbone. That was that he respected in a woman, and hat he really didn’t. Not just someone for the night. He quickly realised that he had been in the wrong for so many years. But he wasn’t going to outwardly admit that, because it was far too soon.
Besides, he still had to protect his ego, and all those rumours bound to fly when the media caught sight of this ‘revelation’. He really hated them, with a burning passion. Normally, he was not the type of person to care hat others thought of him. but when it invoked others that’s when he blew his top. Nothing Nik hated more was gossip, it was full of pure lies, hell bent on messing with people’s heads. And right now, his head was already messed. Trying to come back down to reality, Nik plastered on a grin, hand on his cup of no freezing coffee. He didn’t plan on drinking it anyway, for he was not a coffee person.
He wasn’t offended by her words. In fact, he took it all his stride. Sure, his ego was inflated, but he wasn’t a complete ego-manic. He’d like to think it as fairly healthy, well most of the time. He shrugged, twirling a stray strand of his hair round his finger. ”Because I’m interesting, that’s all. Would you rather be sitting here all alone? That’s not fun” he shook his head, with a pleasant teasing smile.
”Oh no, not just for that. I don’t consider myself to be ‘famous’ anyway. I’m following my dreams and if that means I’m in the media spotlight well then, that’s just how this job is” he shrugged rather truthfully and serious for once. ”I’m not some ego-manic, I can be genuinely nice, you know” he commented, with a little smile. Damn, he couldn’t help but smile when his eyes met hers.
