I recently turned 21.

Really close friends and family sometimes call me Lae.
Where do you work and what do you do?
I sell merchandise for the band Heartbreak Ave. So Im that chick that everyone's seen but nobody really knows.
Do you like your job?
Of course! ( big smile ) Those guys are whack but also pretty amazing. I love their music and hey, my jobs not too hard and I get to be on tour. Who could dislike that?
What don't you like about it?
Uhum, sometimes it gets pretty boring in the merch tent. The only other thing that I don't like is rude customers. Who actually likes them anyways? Ugh, I just hate it when they give me attitude when things are sold out. I can't just pull this shit out of thin air, seriously. But uh, Ill stop ranting, I mean, it is my job to be nice no matter what so I'll just have to suck it up.
Who's in your family?
Well there's my mom Lacy, my daddy Anthony, he has a ton of nicknames but if I don't call him daddy I call him Tony. I also have an older brother who's 23. Daddy's a pro surfer, he travels around quite a bit but he's the reason that we live in Cali. Mommy pretty much was a stay at home mom but since my bro and I are out of the house she doesn't have much to do. I think she sells her baking at a cafe or something now.
How do you feel about your family?
Well, Im a daddy's girl for sure. I love and look up to my father, he did introduce me to surfing after all. He's funny, out going, and generally awesome. I love mommy too, she's just stricter and yeah, we still have a good relationship though. I love my brother too but don't tell him I said that. We're pretty competitive siblings and we used to fight a lot but we're pretty chill with each other now.
What do you want from life?
Woah, that's a deep question. I didn't see it coming so I don't really have a good answer. Um, I guess I want to just have fun and enjoy life. Surf, listen to music, and throw some epic parties, you know the drill. Eventually I want a family but in like 10 years, not anytime soon.
If you were granted three wishes, what would you ask for?
Umm, one of those huge beachfront houses in cali, complete with butlers, maids, the works. A decent guy to live there with me, anddddd a fridge that would never run out of my favorite foods... which is pretty much every food. ( laughs )
What are some things that you love?
Yay an easy question! I love surfing, eating, sleeping, food, beaches, friends, music, animals, umm a lot of other stuff too. Oh wait, did I say food yet?
Some that you hate?
Oooo, grumpy people, angry people, drunk people (at least when your not equally drunk), stormy weather, being hungry, being tired, posers, overbearing personalities, arrogance. ( pause ) I sound like I hate the world. I do have some people that I like, I promise.
What are your friends like? Tell me about them.
My friends are amazing. I don't trust too easily so my true friends are few. Um, most of my friends I've known for a while so I guess it takes time to really know me. It's not like I'm unfriendly though. My friends are usually not just one type of personality, I have friends that are like, every type of person you can think of.
Are you a big believer in love? What about love at first sight? Over a long period?
Yeah I believe in love, Im not looking for it now though. I just want to make friends while on tour. Ive never experienced love at first sight so I dunno if I believe in it or not.... I think love is more of a long term thing.
What parts of a relationship come easy for you? Hard?
Really really trusting people is hard for me and then sometimes when I trust people and they do something stupid its hard for me to let go of that person and stuff... yeah, that's why I don't have a ton of friends that know me well.
How do you decide if you can trust someone? Experience with others? with this person? First impressions? Intuition? Do you test the person somehow? Or are you just generally disposed to trust or not to trust?
Usually I just spend time with them, its hard to keep up a facade forever. I also sometimes talk to other people too so I guess if there's anything fishy my friend's will holler at me.
When you walk into a room, what do you notice first? Second?
What food and drinks are there ( chuckle ) then the guys in the room I guess.
When you walk into a room, what do you expect people to notice about you?
Um, I have no idea, I guess I just hope they notice that... Im nice, or good looking or something.
Describe yourself to me.
Um, Im average height, maybe a little on the tall side. Im pretty skinny, not very busty at all. Ive got gray eyes and my hair is currently dyed red. Your sitting right in front of me so this is pretty pointless...
Is one sense more highly developed than another? (Are you more visual, or audial, etc, or do you rely on the famous sixth sense?)
I don't th-- oh wait, maybe my taste is...no, its probably less sensitive sine Ill eat just about anything. So, I dont think any one is better then the others.
What really moves you, or touches you to the soul?
Nature. I love the beach most but I also love animals and stuff like that too, its inspiring.
What's the one thing you have always wanted to do but didn't/couldn't/wouldn't? What would happen if you did do it?
I've always wanted to be in a band actually. Ive just never had the guts to preform in front of anyone and my guitar skills aren't really that good so... I'd suck anyways. ( laughs ) If I did do it... who knows? I might get famous or just flop.
What do you consider are your strengths?
Surfing, sporty stuff, eating ( laugh ), being a true friend, uhumm, selling stuff hopefully, throwing parties, I can't really think of any others....
What do you consider are your weaknesses?
People usually think Im cold when they first meet me so I guess I need to come off as more friendly, Im really friendly when Im working though so Im not sure whats up with that. Ummm weaknesses... OH! I get really embarrassed if anyone sees me playing an instrument or singing or anything, thats another reason why I barely ever do it. Don't ask me to either, or hide in my closet to listen or anything... that would be creepy. Another weakness would be that I suck at telling guys when I like them ( awkward chuckle ) like Ill become really good friends with them and stuff and I can never get it to be more then that. I guess food would be a weakness too, if I'm hungry I'll do anything for food. Cute animals get me every time too.
What is one physical attribute you are proud of?
Its kind of conceited to say but I love my own smile, people are always telling me to smile more so I guess Im not the only one who likes it.
What one physical attribute would you change?
Uggg, my hair! I can never decide how I want it, what color, straight or wavy, blah blah blah. I guess red is good though since I've had it like this for two years now.
What do you consider your special talent?
( pause ) ...surfing I guess? I don't really know. Im not amazing at anything, just mediocre at almost everything. Im a jack of all trades I guess.
What do you wish your special talent was?
I wish I could sing. My voice is like, average for singing but I wish it was amazing, or at least pretty good. I also which I could play an instrument better or something.
What are you most proud of about your life?
Nothing, I don't think I've done anything awesome yet. Maybe some of my surfing trophies, winning contests but Im not that great. If anything Im most proud of the fact that Ive managed to stay alive this long! ( laugh )
What's the worst thing you've ever done? Why?
Wow um, probably leaving my boyfriend of 3 years when I was a senior in high school. That was pretty rough. We'd known each other since like kindergarten and were really good friends so it was really hard to … yeah. I don't really want to talk about it. He didn't take it well and it screwed up our friendship. FML.
Describe your dream guy to me.
OoOo a fun question! He'd probably be a surfer or something, muscular, tall, athletic, pretty much a jock I guess but like a really romantic guy too. He'd have a ton of money and be pro in whatever sport he loves. But honestly I think Ill just end up with one of my best friends, none of them are really buff ( laugh ). He'd be sweet, funny, outgoing, probably a little crazy, and he'd love food as much as I do. So yeah, I guess those are my dream guy and my more realistic dream guy.
What are you most afraid of?
Why on earth would I tell you? Thats just silly.
What's the most important thing in your life? What do you value most?
I have three. Food firstly, its most important because I couldn't have any of the other things without it. I'd be dead. Secondly, friends. I love my friends and I'd be nothing without them. Last but totally not least, surfing! You saw that coming didn't you? Its pretty much my life.
How do you feel about your life right now? What, if anything, would you like to change?
Im pretty happy with it. Im on an awesome tour and yeah, I cant really think of anything bad in my life at the moment. I'd like to make more friends while on tour and that's all that I'd change.

---Jessica yawned and checked her phone again smiling when she saw that Ryan had texted back. They agreed to meet at the Summer Shudder tour bus. She looked through her clothes and tried to find something cute, but also comfortable. She wanted to look good for Ryan, they may not have the strongest relationship but she still tried to make him happy. He made her laugh all the time and was a good friend and boyfriend so she felt that she ought to return the favor. She fixed up her hair and touched up the small amount of makeup she was wearing. She smiled, just thinking about Ryan made her happy which was a good thing. She headed out towards the Summer Shudder bus happily walking along.
When she got to the bus one of Ryan's band mates, Holly, was just leaving so they waved at each other and exchanged greeting. Jess's smile disappeared when she got in the bus to find that Ryan wasn't there yet. She sighed and lay down in Ryan's bunk, propping her head up in her hand, her elbow on the bed. She waited about 5 minutes for him, quickly getting bored. She realized that his bed was actually rather comfortable, and rested her head on his pillow. Before she knew it she had fallen into a light sleep. Jess had her phone in her hand but her arm was hanging over the edge of the bunk. Once she fell asleep her hand opened and her phone fell to the floor on the bus. If Ryan had texted her while she was asleep there was no way she would have noticed. ---
