The game begins at the time of the trios seventh year at Hogwarts, 1997.
Just months ago, at the end of the previous school year, Draco Malfoy was assigned and succeeded in the assassination of Albus Dumbledore. Before his tragic demise, Dumbledore passed on vital information about Voldemort's numerous Horcruxes to the Order of the Phoenix, so in his wake the Order continue their to search for them.
Outside the safety of the castle walls, the mass murder of Muggles and Muggle borns- along with a climate of fear- is making the wizarding world a dangerous place to be. Hogwarts is safe due to its protection charms and the presence of Order members teaching within its walls, but for how long can it remain a safe haven?
